Elsy and Aston have been best friends since high school, later they decided to give dating a try and haven’t been apart since. 

December 2019 in Germany was one of their most romantic times together because, “We got to experience his side of the family’s culture together for the first time, the Christmas markets, and New Year’s festivities together abroad!”

Elsy loves, “Ashton’s pure heart, he has such a big heart and sees the good in every situation. He really makes me a better person.” Ashton loves Elsy’s, “smile, ambition and how hard she works for what she wants. I don’t know where I would be without her, she makes me a better person.”

The Proposal

Ashton proposed during a family cruise on Thanksgiving with both of their families there, “I was not expecting it at all! And I am very good at catching surprises. It was one of the very rare moments in my life where I was REALLY surprised. I was thinking we were getting ready for a regular thanksgiving dinner, turned out I was getting ready for our proposal. He proposed in a private area at the back of the boat, very romantic!” 

The couple wanted to have their engagement photos taken at the beach to give it a Mexico vibe since that’s where they are getting married! They love to travel so a destination wedding was the obvious option. They have set the date for October 21, 2021. 

The past year has been hard for many people so I always ask couples if they have any advice to pass along, “My advice for other couples would be to be patient and learn to grow together.”
