Grab a free slurpee on us, it’s time to celebrate!
Having a wedding is enough pressure and stress but add a pandemic to it and it's absolutely insane. But that’s exactly what my wife and I did, had an inmate wedding of 25 guests in Malibu on July 11, 2020.
Ever since then, I knew I wanted to do our anniversary shoot at 7 Eleven. We took our son, headed to our local store and started taking photos. This was hard for me because obviously, I’m used to being behind the camera instead of in front of it. Plus, I had to direct my kid on the ways I wanted the photos taken, pose myself and my wife. Needless to say, I was a little stressed but all-in-all we made it through the session.
Of course during the session we had to get a slurpee and snacks to have an official 7 Eleven store run. In addition, the people at 7 Eleven were super nice about us taking photos.
To my best friend, my forever love, my wife,
A year has come and gone already, and I don’t know where the time has disappeared too. I learned a lot this past year and had a lot of personal growth. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader, for letting me chase my dreams and desires. Whenever I felt down, unmotivated, almost on the brink of giving up, you picked me up and told me to keep going. And thank you for trusting me that I can do it, that I will make it. For that, I am forever thankful for. And I’ll continue being your biggest cheerleader in all your accomplishments. Thank you for making me laugh everyday, for keeping me on my toes and wondering what crazy thing you’re going to say or do next. Thanks for dealing with my sassy remarks and comments.
Thank you for being the best provider and leader you can be. And I know that over time you will only get better. You’ve grown so much not only as a wife, but as a woman. It makes me so proud seeing you evolve and knowing that you will only continue growing as you explore this new path you’ve decided to take makes me smile. Thank you for listening when I needed to be heard, for valuing my opinions, thoughts, and suggestions. Thanks for being a shoulder to cry on when I felt like my life was falling apart. Thank you for understanding when I needed time to myself, or that sometimes I would just want you to be nearby when I needed you.
My vows still stand. Everything I vowed to you on that beautiful day one year ago: promising to always choose you, honour and respect you, to listen and be forever faithful. I promise to continue laugh often and grow together. I will continue to fill our home with love, light, and joy.
Everyday (even when I’m completely annoyed with you), you do something that makes me know that I’m in love with you as you are with me. I’m so excited to finally go on our honeymoon, make new memories and have new adventures with you. You are the first (and maybe only) person who as ever loved me unconditionally and I can’t wait for the many years ahead of us!
I love you. Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary Love.
